QUETTA: Senate Standing Committee on Water and Power Chairman and Pakistan Muslim League-N Senator Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasar has said that thousands of jobless youth of Balochistan would be provided employment through the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He said that the Gwadar Deep Sea Port and other mega projects being executed through the Pak-China joint venture will provide jobs to many.
He said steps are being taken to establish a University in the port town of Gwadar, adding that Gwadar is going to become an international industrial town, said Nasar.
In an interview with APP here on Monday, he said that transportation of Chinese goods from Kashghar to Gwadar through Balochistan has proved that law and order situation has been improving in the region.
The passing of Chinese containers through Balochistan to reach Gwadar has also provided evidence that law and order has been restored in the province.
“The federal government is taking measures to establish a university and vocational institute in Gwadar for imparting higher and standard education to the youth of the province.”
He said that the implementation of CPEC would open new doors of progress and prosperity for Balochistan.
