Elaborating on his position, Devgn made it clear that he was not going to share screen space with any Pakistani artiste for the time being.
“Not at the moment. I am very clear on this because you are an Indian first. I don’t care if my film doesn’t release in Pakistan. Their artistes are standing by their nation. They are earning here but are sticking by their nation. We should learn from them,” he said.
Indian nationalist party gives Pakistani actors 48-hour ultimatum to leave country
Amid increasing Indo-Pak tensions, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) passed a resolution temporarily banning Pakistani actors from working in India on September 29.
The resolution came after Indian nationalist party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) warned all Pakistani artistes in India to leave the country. The MNS also demanded a ban on Bollywood films featuring Pakistani actors.
