Shahid Afridi’s autobiography to release next year

Shahid afridi’s life as a cricketer has always been an open book but soon you’ll get to know him personally.

The all-rounder is set to launch his autobiography next year and will open up about his ‘rivalries and alliances’, particularly those with India, as well as his infatuation with the military and his take on politics.

It will be written by Wajahat S Khan and promises to lift the lid off his incredible life, HarperCollins India reports.

Speaking about his book, the cricketer said, “In all my years of cricket, I’ve given hundreds of interviews and done dozens of TV shows, but what you will read in my memoir are the stories and thoughts I’ve never shared openly. I have a lot to say about my confidence, my fears, my adversaries, my ambitions, my goals and failures.”

“It was a tall order to get myself ready to do this, but I’m proud to join hands with a fine storyteller and journalist like Wajahat bhai. I’m also thankful to my publishers for giving me the space to be myself,” he added.

Afridi, who began his career as a cricketer at the age of 16 has made several records since. He represented Pakistan in 98 T20Is, claiming 97 wickets and scoring 1405 runs at an average of over 18. He captained the national team in 43 matches in the shortest format of the game, winning 19 and losing 23.
