London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.7 percent compared with Friday’s close to open at 6,635.36 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 jumped 1.2 percent to 9,744.80 points and the Paris CAC 40 advanced 0.7 percent to 4,221.22.
