HONG KONG: Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks ended the morning session lower Wednesday in response to data showing Chinese exports and imports fell again last month.
Hong Kong’s benchmark Hang Seng Index slipped 0.33 percent, or 70.49 points, to 21,257.75.
The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.44 percent, or 13.06 points, to 2,922.98, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, slid 0.51 percent, or 9.73 points, to 1,915.15.
