Islamabad : Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf at Prime Minister’s House Thursday and appreciated him for his keen interest in taking measures to solve energy crisis, reduction in oil prices, issue of missing persons and resumption of NATO supply lines.
The Minister apprised the Prime Minister about unanimous passage of budget in AJ&K assembly. He also apprised him about progress on mega hydal projects including Mangla Dam Raising Project.
The Prime Minister directed the Minister for Kashmir Affairs to expedite work on Diamir-Bhasha Dam project as it was of national importance. The Government has approved Rs. 41 billion as compensation to the affectees of this project, said the Prime Minister.
