ISLAMABAD: Weekly inflation for combined income group, measured through the Sensitive Price Index (SPI), slightly increased by 0.06 per cent for the week ended January 28 as compared to the previous week, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) data showed on Friday.
The impact of prices on various income groups also witnessed variations during the week under review.
For the lowest income group earning up to Rs8,000, the SPI decreased by 0.02pc over the previous week, while inflation for the top income group (Rs35,000 and above) was up by 0.09pc.
The items which recorded increase in their average prices are eggs (farm), tomatoes, bananas, kerosene, wheat, masoor (pulse), rice basmati, electric bulb, cooked beef, rice irri-6, red chilli, mash (pulse) and mutton.
