“If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.” ? Mother Teresa
The real source of happiness can be found by sharing the things which you have with those who do not afford that, by this you can get inner source of happiness. If one want to remain happy for a longer time and needs to develop inner satisfaction, it can only be possible through spiritual growth. If our inner condition is not satisfied we shall never be happy and gratified .For Muslims, Islam brings bliss, kindness, spiritual enlightens rewards and physical benefits to all.
The purpose of Ramadan is to share the things with those who can’t afford them in whole year. During this precious month, most of people give zakat. As zakat is considered to be the fourth pillar of Islam, the act of giving a fixed proportion of one’s savings to the poor, and, like other good deeds, it is more heavily rewarded during this holy month.
During this month, there are many people who distribute grocery items to needy people to provide relief. Also, you may found many people distributing iftaar items on roads at the time of iftaar.
As we all know that a big population of Pakistan lives under extreme poverty ,the true meaning of this month is to help those people who are in need and do not make them left behind during this month. Zakat not only purifies the property of the contributor but also purifies his heart from selfishness and greed. It also purifies the heart of the recipient from envy and jealousy, from hatred and uneasiness and it fosters instead goodwill and warm wishes for the contributors.
“And whatever you spend in good, it is for yourselves, when you spend not except seeking Allâh’s Countenance. And whatever you spend in good, it will be repaid to you in full, and you shall not be wronged”. (Surah Baqarah 2:272)
