ISLAMABAD: A mild intensity earthquake shook different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern areas of the country, Geo News reported Monday.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the 5.8 magnitude quake struck at 2:43 local time, with its epicenter lying at a depth of 116 kilometer near Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
News reported tremors were felt in Peshawar, Lower Deer, Malakand Agency, Chitral, Shangla, Swabi and other areas where panicked residents came out of their houses .
No loss of life or property was reported from the affected areas.
