QUETTA: Four people were injured in a blast that hit Saryab road in the provincial capital on the eve of Eid, injuring four people on Wednesday.
A senior police official said a bomb went off just as a vehicle of paramilitary force passed by.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where they were said to be in stable condition. According to eyewitnesses, the gun shots rang out following the blast. However, the police said the shots were fired by paramilitary officials. Two motorcycles and four cars were partially damaged.
Nature of the blast was not immediately clear but police said the evidence suggested Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used.
