LAHORE: The Secretary Health stated that he had assured protesting nurses that their demands would be met.
According to details, a six-member delegation of the Young Nurses Association (YNA) met with the Secretary of Health for negotiations. The negotiations between both sides lasted for a bit but no solution to the matter was reached.
“Have assured protesting nurses that their demands would be met,” he said.
Nurses have been staging a sit-in protest at The Mall road since five days and demanding their rights. Protesting nurses have called for implementation of the announced service structure and health risk allowance.
One group of nurses protesting in Lahore had had successful negotiations with the government and stopped their protest. However, the other group had continued to protest.
