Sameer, said to be associated with one of the several criminal gangs operating in Lyari, was found guilty of carrying grenades, unlicensed weapons and attacking a police team in Chakiwara in June 2014.
ATC-XI Judge Farman Ali Kanasro handed down 14-year imprisonment to the convict in the explosives case, 10-year imprisonment in the attempted murder case, seven years in the illicit weapons case and two-year term on charges of deterring the police from discharge of their official duty.
