KARACHI: Muttahida Qoumi Movement´s (MQM) lawmaker of provincial assembly and former nazim of Saddar Town Muhammad Dilawar on Wednesday joined Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) and announced to resign from Sindh Assembly membership.
While addressing a press conference at Pakistan House, he said that he had been willing to leave MQM for fifteen years but he did not get a chance to do so. “Now God bestowed me with a chance in shape of Mustafa Kamal and I did not miss it.”
Mustafa Kamal, Anees Qaimkhani, Anees Advocate, and other PSP´s leaders were present on the occasion.
Dilawar alleged that MQM chief used to sack any leader even on a minor mistake and include anybody in coordination committee at his sweet will. He said that as he could not serve his voters after winning the general elections, he is apologizing with his voters and workers.
He was a legislator from PS-110, Ranchor Lane, in Saddar.
Kamal welcomed Dilawar in the PSP.
He also condoled with Aftab Hussain´s family, who yesterday died during custody. He said that establishment should change its behavior and stop what he called extrajudicial killings.
