ISLAMABAD: Though the government has taken no decision regarding Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s plan to hold a public meeting at the Fatima Jinnah park on April 24 in connection with the party’s 20th Foundation Day celebrations, the PTI announced on Friday that it would go ahead with its planned meeting.
The district administration of Islamabad is in a state of confusion in response to the PTI’s request.
The administration told the PTI that it could not hold the rally as Section 144 CrPC was in place in Islamabad, but hours later it informed the party that a final decision on the matter would be taken by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Meanwhile, the local leadership of PTI announced that it would hold the planned public meeting at the park come what may.
PTI coordinator Faisal Javed also informed the local administration about their decision. PTI chief Imran Khan has already announced that his party will hold the public meeting in Islamabad on April 24.
