BCCI president Anurag Thakur removed from post by Indian Supreme Court

The Indian Supreme Court on Monday removed Anurag Thakur as president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Times of India reported.

The court also issued a showcause notice regarding charges of perjury and contempt of court.

Thakur has until Jan 19 to reply to the Indian apex court’s charges, alongside BCCI Secretary Ajay Shirke.
