All dead bodies from the flight PK-661 crash have been identified, Radio Pakistan reported.
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, speaking to the media in Islamabad Friday, said that the dead bodies of all Pakistanis have been handed over to their heirs.
He also said that contact with embassies is underway to hand over the dead bodies of the foreigners.
Chaudhry said that Rs5.5 million has been announced as ‘support’ fund, including “insurance for the survivors of each victim.’
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 carrying 48 passengers and crew crashed on the way to Islamabad from Chitral on Dec 7. The passenger list confirmed singer-turned-evangelist Junaid Jamshed and his family also died in the crash.
It was the fourth deadliest crash on Pakistani soil.
