Ceasefire violations: Pakistan seeks UN probe into children’s killings

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has requested the United Nations to investigate the killing of four children by Indian firing in Khoi Ratta Sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said the dossier about the incident has been handed over to the UN observers.

He said the observers have had a meeting with the authorities in the GHQ. “Pakistan has requested the UN to investigate the killing of the children. The UN observers were told that India always starts shooting and targets unarmed citizens. The Indian army is killing innocent children. The Pak army retaliates to the unprovoked firing from Indian side.”

Zakaria said India was trying to destabilise Pakistan and the Indian provocation is dangerous for the region. The Indian foreign minister is continuously giving anti-Pakistan statements which is a matter of concern.
