SHANGLA: PML-N MNA Dr Ibadullah on Wednesday said an industrial zone would be established in Shangla under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
Addressing a public meeting in Aloch area of Puran tehsil here, the lawmaker said the CPEC project would benefit not only Pakistan but also Central Asia.
He said under the CPEC project, a road between Shangla and Mardan would be built and that work on it would begin after the tendering of the project completed.
“Those opposing the CPEC project neither know its importance nor do they want it to succeed. This project will be a milestone in the country’s development,” he said.
He criticised PTI’s provincial government for failing to deliver. The MNA alleged that the PTI lawmakers were not serious about the resolution of the issues facing the people.
“Work on many development projects is underway in Shangla’s different parts. It will be completed very soon. The PML-N’s government in the centre is interested in developing Shangla and therefore, it is giving complete financial support for it,” he said.
