Pakistan Super League team Peshawar Zalmi will hire two buses during Pakistan’s upcoming tour of England to encourage the national side and raise funds for KPK cricketers.
“The buses will be booked three hours before the start of the match and will be present at designated meeting points near the stadiums,” said Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi.
Afridi added the buses will be decorated with Pakistani flags, flags of his franchise and balloons in the colours of the franchise.
“We will also play national songs from the bus’ PA system, and the buses will have a dining facility too,” added Afridi.
Afridi elaborated and said the buses will continuously tour the streets near the stadium to attract fans of the national side, and they will help in promoting the move through social media by taking photographs and videos and posting them online.
“The innovation will make other franchises envious,” said Zalmi’s owner.
During the one day international matches, the buses will remain outside the stadium for duration of the first innings.
Pehawar Zalmi’s owner said one or two T20 matches are also being planned between Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.
